Early diabetes analysis can help you get a head start on preventing later organ damage, heart disease, and feet problems associated with diabetes. Most people with type 2 diabetes started with pre-diabetes at some point.  The problem is that pre-diabetes usually goes undiagnosed. Otherwise known as borderline diabetes, it is blood sugar levels that are right on the diabetes borderline of 100 – 125 mg/dl after an overnight or an 8 hour fast. A blood sugar level of 126 mg/dl after an overnight fast is considered diabetic. Somewhere between 50 and 70 million people are suspected of having borderline diabetes undiagnosed. Early diabetes analysis would give these people the opportunity to possibly prevent type 2 diabetes from developing and possibly even returning their blood sugar levels to normal.

Diet and exercise changes can be incorporated into your daily routine that can literally change the rest of your life. Be sure to include blood sugar level tests as part of your annual physical for early diabetes analysis.

With urine analysis, diabetes patients can check for other problems

If you already have been diagnosed with diabetes, urine tests can check for diabetes related kidney damage, among other things. About 30% or more of diabetics develop kidney problems. But precise control of blood sugar levels will help kidney problems be avoided or, at least, delayed.

The urine diabetes analysis for kidneys problems detects protein levels in the urine. This is referred to as microalbuminuria. It means that albumin, which is the blood’s main protein, has leaked into the urine. This leakage needs to be stopped, or kidney damage will be inevitable, even the possibility of kidney failure. This test should be performed annually after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

If the test is positive, it means there is at least some damage already done to the kidney. Diabetes analysis is almost always made long after the diabetes actually began to show symptoms. This is why you should suspect damage to the kidney after the diagnosis of diabetes is made. The following steps might be suggested by your doctor to prevent further damage:

  • Medications. There are a number of medications that can slow down blood vessel damage
  • Aggressive diabetes treatment – besides diet, aggressively treating your diabetes is the best hope of preventing kidney damage progressing.
  • Blood pressure control – you may need to better control your blood pressure. Diet again plays an important role here but medication may be required to keep your blood pressure below the 130/80 level.
  • Cholesterol control – this is even more important for the diabetic

Early diabetes analysis gives you the best chance to control your diabetes with natural methods that don’t cause side effects and can actually reverse your blood sugar levels. You should make it a part of your yearly medical checkup whether you have reason to believe you have diabetes or not. And if you do have diabetes, yearly tests for other organ and body system functions can help you prevent even more damage.
